Marty fue líder de la banda Hillsong United junto con Joel Houston (hijo del pastor Brian Houston). Su último álbum junto a United fue 'All of the Above' en 2007. Desde su casamiento con Michelle, dejó de formar parte en Hillsong United para continuar su ministerio en la banda principal de la Iglesia Hillsong. De esta forma, Brooke Fraser pasó a ser uno de los líderes de United, junto a Joel Houston y Jonathon Douglass. Frecuentemente, lidera la alabanza en la Iglesia Hillsong, y continúa haciendo grandes contribuciones para los nuevos álbumes de Hillsong.
