Joel Houston

Joel Timothy Houston (nacido el 18 de septiembre de 1979) es un músico y compositor, mejor conocido como líder de la banda basada en la adoración Hillsong United, el grupo de alabanza de la juventud de la Iglesia Hillsong.
En 2008, se convirtió en el director creativo de la Iglesia Hillsong. Él es el hijo mayor de los pastores principales de la iglesia y los fundadores Brian y Bobbie Houston y nieto de Frank Houston (que era el pastor principal de Sydney Christian Life Centre que ahora es el Campus Ciudad de la Iglesia Hillsong). Tiene dos hermanos, un hermano Benjamín y una hermana, Laura. Houston también fue el bajista de una banda llamada Able, que fue compuesta por Marty Sampson, Michael Guy Chislett y Lucas Munns.


Biografía

Primeros años

El debut de Houston con la banda Hillsong United como vocalista fue en 2002, sin embargo, había estado tocando el bajo con la banda durante varios años antes de esto, y contribuyendo a varias canciones, incluyendo la canción principal del álbum del grupo, primer disco en vivo completo, Everyday. Como parte del equipo de música de Hillsong United, Joel Houston ha ayudado a dirigir la adoración y dictar conferencias en América del Norte, América del Sur, África, Europa y Asia.
